Matthew T. Hendrix, 23, of Omaha, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 in Omaha.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at First United Methodist Church in Wayne Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Matthew’s family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Matthew Tyler Hendrix was born Jan. 22, 1999 in Fargo, North Dakota to Wes Hendrix and Christina K. Larson. He attended Ralston Schools in Omaha and graduated from Millard South High School. Matthew loved music and was a member of the band in school. He loved gaming and enjoyed his time playing video games on his Xbox. Matthew lived in Omaha most of his life and was employed at Walmart. Matthew leaves this life too soon, and will be dearly missed and forever loved by his family.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Christina (Brian) Larson of Akron, Iowa and his father, Wes Hendrix of Omaha; brothers, Brett (Shantel) Hendrix of Omaha and Thomas Hendrix of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandmother, Sharon McQuistan of Wayne; great grandmother, Mildred Van Buren of Wayne; aunts and uncles, Teresa (Jessy) Mick of Wayne, and Sheryl (Alex) Salmons-Garcia of Oakley, Kansas; cousins, Siera Brugger of Wakefield, and Cailee Brugger of Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gayle Mc Quistan and great grandfather, Ervin Van Buren.
