Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15, and Pender Community Health will once again offer free, unbiased assistance to individuals who would like help reviewing their Medicare coverage for the coming year.
Rita Brehmer, a SHIP volunteer through the Area Agency on Aging, will be joined by Nancy Baker and Shelley Gilliland to provide one-on-one assistance throughout the Medicare Open Enrollment Period, Oct. 15 through Dec. 7.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. Coverage changes made during the Open Enrollment Period generally take effect Jan. 1, 2027.
To schedule an appointment, call Pender Community Health at 402-385-3083, option 0. Individuals who are unable to come to PCH in person may also schedule a phone appointment.
