Metz medals in two events at NSIC/MIAA Challenge

Brady Metz scored a second place in the long jump and finished third in the triple jump to highlight Wayne State’s effort at the NSIC/MIAA Challenge over the weekend in Maryville, Mo.
Metz was second in the long jump with a best effort of 22 feet, 1 inch, and also finished third in the triple jump at 46-6 1/4.
Josh Spenner and Robert Sullivan also placed in multiple events. Spenner was fourth in the lon gjump and third in the pole vault, while Sullivan was sixth in both the long jump and high jump. As a team, wayne State finished seventh out of nine teams with 48 points.
On the women’s side, the 1,600-meter relay team of Kelsey Dietrich, Melissa Kroll, Rachel Rauner and Ellen Wulf finished eighth overall. Wayne State’s two points tied them for 10th place.
The Wildcats will be at the Sioux City Relays next weekend.
