The Wayne High Mock trial team earned a State Runner Up finish at the Nebraska Bar Association State Mock Trial competition on Thursday.
Wayne defeated Gering, Lincoln Pius X and Kearney Catholic to earn a trip to the Championship match. The Blue Devils lost in a split decision to Duchesne Academy (Omaha) in the Championship match.
"We are so proud of these kids. They worked so hard this year and really made this their own. They left it all out there in the courtroom and really put on a show for everyone all year. We will miss the eight seniors immensely but they definitely went out in style. CONGRATS!!!!!" said Coach Josh Johnson
