Earlier Monday, NNPHD joined with the Nebraska Air National Guard to hold a mass testing event at Wayne’s fire hall. Later in the day, two more positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. As of May 11, there have been 393 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests include 47 positive cases (Cedar - 6, Dixon - 22, Thurston - 16, and Wayne County - 3), 298 negatives, and 48 tests currently pending results. Monday’s patients are residents of Thurston County, a female and a male in their teens and 20s.
