Nancy C. Niemann, 85, of Wayne formerly of Winside, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at Wayne Countryview Care.
Services are planned for a later date. There is no visitation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Niemann family for later designation.
Nancy Carol Niemann was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Winside to Otto Oswald and Minnie Ruth (Loebsack) Graef. She graduated from Winside High School and then attended Wayne State College. Over the years, Nancy worked in retail management at various stores in Indiana and Nebraska. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens. Nancy is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winside and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany, Indiana.
Survivors include her sons, Roger (Carol) Niemann of Wayne, Joey (Lisa) Niemann of Wayne and Mark Niemann of New Albany, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Jill (Niemann) Polito (John) of Gretna; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Langenberg of Norfolk, Judy Sorensen of Wayne and Janet Eccher of Crystal River, Florida; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael in 2014; brothers, Donald Graef, Jerry Graef, and Myron (Helen) Graef; sister, Florine Hill; brothers-in-law, Don Langenberg and Dick Sorensen.
