New Look Lewis & Clark Basketball Brackets Announced; Neutral Court Action For Winside Girls Vs. Randolph; Winside Boys Vs. Homer

A pair of Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament basketball brackets showcasing 11 girls and 10 boys teams were posted on Wednesday. 

The Winside girls are 4-13 and have dropped four straight following a 52-27 loss at Bloomfield on Monday while the Winside boys have dropped 12 straight now at 1-15 following a 72-22 loss at Bloomfield also on Monday.

Records through Tuesday, January 28.

Lewis and Clark Conference girls division games will open on Saturday, February 1 in Walthill.

#6 Winside girls will play the middle game against #11 Randolph (0-15) around 6 p.m. Opening the day will be #8 Winnebago (5-13) vs. #9 Tri County Northeast (6-13) at 4:30 p.m. with #7 Walthill (7-8) closing the night with #10 Osmond (4-13) around 7:30 p.m.

Second round girls games will be in Homer and Bloomfield on Monday, February 3.

From Homer, #1 Homer (16-1) will await the Winnebago/Tri County Northeast winner and play at 6 p.m. followed by #4 Wausa (8-9) vs. #5 Creighton (5-12). A loser’s bracket game will open the night in Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. from the Walthill/Osmond vs. Winside/Randolph loser’s followed by #2 Wynot (10-6) vs. the Walthill/Osmond winner at 6 p.m. and #3 Bloomfield (11-5) against the Winside/Randolph winner to close out the night around 7:30 p.m.

Third round competition is TBA for Thursday, February 6 with the highest team remaining in the third place game also hosing the fifth place game on Saturday, February 8. The Lewis and Clark girls final will be played on Monday, February 10 hosted at Wayne State College at 6 p.m.

Lewis and Clark Conference boys division games will also on Saturday, February 1 at Bloomfield.

#9 Winside boys will play the night cap on Saturday against #8 Homer (3-13) around 7:30 p.m. Opening the night will be #7 Bloomfield (4-11) vs. #10 Tri County Northeast (4-14) at 6 p.m.

Second round boys games will be in Wausa and Randolph on Tuesday, February 4.

From Wausa, #1 Wausa (16-0) will open the night against the Homer/Winside winner at 6 p.m. followed by #4 Winnebago (8-9) vs. #5 Creighton (5-11). From Randolph, the first game will showcase #2 Wynot (10-6) vs. the Bloomfield/Tri County Northeast winner at 6 p.m. followed by #3 Randolph (8-9) vs. #6 Walthill (6-10).

Third round competition is TBA for Friday, February 7 with the highest team remaining in the third place game also hosting the fifth place game on Saturday, February 8. The Lewis and Clark boys final will be played on Monday, February 10 at Wayne State College around 8 p.m.
