Wayne State College softball closed out their season-opening competition while WSC baseball had their final game in Hawaii canceled on Feb. 8.
Back inside the Wildcat Dome for the WSC softball triangular, Wayne State College began the day with a come-from-behind 4-3 win against Chadron State College followed by a 4-2 victory over Nebraska-Kearney.
The Wildcats (4-0) will next travel to Sioux Center, Iowa on Feb. 11 visiting Dordt inside the Dordt Dome starting at 5:30 p.m. for a doubleheader.
From Hilo, Hawaii for the third straight day, the Wayne State College baseball team concluded their season-opening trip this time with weather causing a cancellation against Hawaii at Hilo.
WSC (3-1) will next travel to Rolla, MO Feb. 14-16 visiting Missouri S&T. Games are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, a doubleheader starting at noon on Sunday and closing with a single game on Monday starting at noon.
