Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD) is reporting 10 new positive cases of confirmed COVID-19 within the health district on Friday. Previously, the highest daily positive case count was five. As of May 8, there have been 360 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests include 41 positive cases (Cedar - 5, Dixon - 21, Thurston - 13, and Wayne County - 2), 275 negatives, and 44 tests currently pending results. Age ranges of the patients include two people in their 20s, three in their 30s, two in their 40s, and one each in their 50s, 70s and 80s.
