No. 1 Wildcats handle Bemidji in three

Maggie Brahmer recorded 15 kills and Kelsie Cada added 11 kills and three service aces to lead the top-ranked Wayne State volleyball to an easy three-set win over Bemidji State Friday at Rice Auditorium, winning 25-10, -18, -17.

The Wildcats hit .337 as a team while holding the Beavers to .090 hitting on the night. The Wildcats also served well with seven aces on the night.

Brahmer hit .480 for the match with her 15 kills. Rachel Walker had 32 set assists and two ace serves. Jordan McCormick led the defense with 13 digs while Havyn Heinz added 12.

The Wildcats (16-1, 7-0 NSIC) are back home Saturday to host Minnesota Crookston in a 4 p.m. matchup.
