Northeast Community College has been named the recipient of the 2026 Western Region Impact and Success Award by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), recognizing the college’s commitment to expanding access, improving student success, and strengthening the communities it serves.

Northeast was one of five colleges nationwide selected for regional recognition.

The ACCT Impact and Success Award honors institutions that demonstrate measurable progress in increasing educational attainment, removing barriers, expanding opportunities for underserved populations, and engaging communities in meaningful ways. Northeast was selected as the Western Region recipient for its efforts to improve outcomes for low-income, first-generation, adult, and historically underserved students.

The college has also expanded opportunities for adult learners through workforce-focused credential programs, apprenticeships, adult education, and industry partnerships. These initiatives create pathways to high-demand careers while helping meet regional workforce needs. Northeast extends that impact through partnerships with K-12 schools, healthcare providers, employers, agricultural organizations, and community groups throughout its service area.
