Two regular seasons concluded while two more teams entered game two of their 2025-26 campaign on Nov. 15.

Back at Rice Auditorium for a second straight night, #3 Wayne State College volleyball secured a four-set win against RV Northern State (25-17, 23-25. 25-19. 25-13) winning their 13th straight. WSC finished off the regular season with a perfect 11-0 home record.

The Wildcats (26-3/19-1 NSIC) earned a share of the NSIC regular season title (Concordia-St. Paul) and will be tabbed the #2 seed (strength of schedule) in the tourney. WSC will next open the NSIC Tournament on Nov. 18 hosting #7 Northern State at 6 p.m. 

Coach Scott Kneifl recorded his 500th career victory.

Earlier in the afternoon, the WSC football team held off a late rally from #13 Augustana University winning their fourth straight with a final of 38-31.

Wayne State College (7-4/7-3 NSIC/5-1 South Division) closes out their season  earning a share of the NSIC South Division (Minnesota State-Mankato).

For a second straight day, the WSC women's and men's basketball teams were in action in St. Joseph, MO.

During the Central Region Challenge, the Wildcat women picked up a 48-46 victory over Northwest Missouri State.

The Wayne State College women (2-0) will next compete on Tuesday, Nov. 18 traveling to William Jewell College in (MO) at 5:30 p.m.

In the Missouri Western Classic, the WSC men suffered an 88-67 loss against Missouri Western.

The home-opener for the Wildcat men's basketball team (1-1) will be on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. against Manhattan Christian.
