Nov. 18 WSC scores

NSIC Volleyball tourney action first began on Nov. 18 for the second-seeded Wayne State College volleyball team (#2 in the Coaches Poll) while the WSC women's basketball team played their third road non-conference outing.

From Rice Auditorium, the Wildcats won in four sets for a second straight time against the seventh-seeded Northern State University Wolves (20-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-21). The Wolves are receiving votes just outside the Top 25 Coaches Poll.

WSC won their 14th straight improving to 27-3 overall (finished NSIC regular season 19-1). 

NSIC semifinal play will continue in St. Paul, MN on Nov. 21 where #2 (NSIC)/#2 (DII) WSC will face #3/#11 St. Cloud State at 5 p.m. The two winners will face either #1/#5 Concordia-St. Paul or #5 Sioux Falls during the NSIC finals on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. in St. Paul, MN.

From the Mabee Center in Liberty, MO, the Wayne State College women's basketball team used a 31-point third quarter to win 74-63 at William Jewell College.

The Wildcats (3-0) will next host Chadron State College now at noon (game was previously set for a 5 p.m.  start) on Saturday, Nov. 22.
