Several area Wayne Herald students were named to the 2025-26 Currency Believers & Achievers local winners with the statewide winners recenlty announced.
Wayne winners are Aidan Bohnert, Josie Ley and Adrienne Anderson.
Winside Believers & Achievers are Natalie Cautrell, Landon Carlson, Lucas Petersen and Jerzi Carlson.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge recipients are Kate Tasler, Holly Patefield, Kennedy Hall and Kolten Settje.
Wakefield local winners are Jacob Borg, Mayte Flores Garcia, Gracyn Keagle and Ashlyn Riewer.
Emerson-Hubbard recipients are Thatcher Lamp, Emelia Harral and Rachael Bousquet.
Congratulations to the three Wayne Herald Statewide NSAA/Currency Believers and Achievers winners! Josie Ley from Wayne, Mayte Flores Garcia from Wakefield and Kennedy Hall from Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will be recognized among the 48 selected throughout the 2025-26 school year.
Believers & Achievers is a statewide program designed to give recognition to Nebraska’s future leaders.
Beginning in November and continuing through April, the 48 Nebraska high school seniors will be honored as Believers & Achievers. From those 48 finalists, eight will receive $1,000 scholarships from Currency to use for the college or university of their choice.
