With 15,246 recipients of the 2024-25 Nebraska State College Multi-Activity Student Awards being announced, Wayne, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, Wakefield and Winside were represented well along with several from the region.

According to a release from the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and the Nebraska State College System (NSCS), the award recognizes students in grades 9-12 who participate in at least three NSAA sanctioned activities during the academic year.

Each high school student who participates in at least three NSAA activities will be recognized and awarded a certificate of achievement by the NSAA and the Nebraska State Colleges.

Wayne had 90 on the list, LCC listed 53, Wakefield totaled 50 and Winside had 22 who will receive the 2024-25 Nebraska State College Multi-Activity Student Award.

Activity participation will be tracked using student eligibility lists, submitted to the NSAA.

The top schools in four classes will be determined based on the percentage of multi-activity student award winners compared to the total number of students in grades 9-12.

Four high schools were noted with the most multiactivity students being Kearney (A), Mount Michael Benedictine (B), Norfolk Catholic (C) and Spalding Academy (D). These high schools will be presented with a banner at the NSAA State Soccer Championships in May to display at their school.
