After having a weekend invite called off due to travel conditions, the Norfolk boys swimming took to the pool for a third dual contest where Wayne's Kyler Parker was in action.
From Grand Island, the Panthers visited the Islanders on Tuesday. Wayne High is in their first year with a co-op for boys swimming at Norfolk.
In the team standings, Norfolk swam away with the 120-50 victory to move to 3-0 in dual competition.
Kyler Parker from Wayne recorded the fastest time to win the 100 Freestyle Division in a time of 1:00.68 while also placing runner-up in the 100 Backstroke at 1:12 (missed first by 0.86).
Parker swam the third split (30.62) during the Norfolk first place 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:48.49. Finn Barrett (30.01), Teagan Cleveland (28.95) and Tyler Galyen (31.48) were other members of the winning team.
Also, Parker was on the Norfolk 400 Freestyle Relay at 4:01.76. He swam times of 28.69 and 32.53. Finn Barrett (28.19/30.88), Madux Cleveland (28.93/32.88) and Emmett Haake (28.64/30.95) were other members of the winning team.
In the girls division, Norfolk also moved to 3-0 thanks to a 110-57 victory over Grand Island.
The Norfolk swimming teams will next visit Lincoln Southeast High School for the 2024 Knight Invite. The 'Diving' portion of the schedule will be on Friday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. while swimming will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
