Paul Gerhard Dangberg was born Nov. 24, 1934 in Wayne to Emil Henry and Ella Ida (Kant) Dangberg. He is a 1952 graduate of Wayne High School. Paul married Beverly Scheurich June 7, 1953 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winside. The couple farmed east of Winside for several years until moving into Wayne in 2001.
After moving into town Paul kept doing what he loved…farming, either putting up hay, working for Fletcher Farm Service and later Helena Chemical. Paul was always up for road trips, either with family checking area crops, going to a farm sale, or to go hunting. He looked forward to the conversations with his coffee buddies at Vel’s Bakery and his time with his farm dog, red tractors and his family.
