Pearl Street Steakhouse and Lounge, located at the corner of First and Pearl Streets in Wayne, recently began offering a lunch menu to its customers.
"From the beginning, our intention was always to give lunch service a try. After nearly two years in business, the timing finally felt right—especially with the unfortunate closing of one of Wayne's restaurant," said owner Brittany Webber.
"We wanted to help fill that gap and give Wayne another local lunch option," she added.
Brittany and her husband, Steve, also took advantage of the summer slowdown—a time when most local businesses naturally see less traffic—to step back, re-evaluate the menu, and design something that could work well for both lunch and supper crowds. Steve has more than 20 years of culinary experience and Brittany has nearly 20 years of bartending and customer service experience.
"With beef prices climbing higher every week, offering traditional steaks just wasn’t practical anymore. Instead, we pivoted to more versatile and affordable options like steak sandwiches, along with a refreshed menu that travels well for carry-out. That balance allows us to serve a wider range of guests — whether you’re dining in with coworkers or grabbing something quick on the go," Brittany said.
A highlight of the new schedule is the Saturday brunch menu, featuring all the classic favorites, alongside a lineup of signature brunch cocktails.
For lunch, Pearl Street features daily comfort-food specials alongside its full menu:
• Wednesday – Pot Roast with carrots and potatoes;
• Thursday – Chicken Fried Steak with smashed potatoes and corn;
• Friday – Lasagna with garlic bread; and
• Saturday – Biscuit & Gravy Stack.
Each lunch special includes a soft drink.
Pearl Street’s famous Prime Rib continues to be featured every Friday and Saturday evening after 5 p.m., served in multiple cuts with choice of side and garlic toast.
Pearl Street Steakhouse has also adjusted its hours to better serve the Wayne community.
The restaurant is now open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The kitchen operates during two service windows: lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with last seating at 1:45 p.m., and evening service from 4 to 8 p.m. with last seating at 7:45 p.m.
Between those times, the lounge will remain open throughout the day, offering guests a place to relax while the restaurant continues to evaluate customer demand.
Pearl Street is a walk-in only establishment, meaning guests do not need a reservation to enjoy lunch, supper, or cocktails.
"Don’t miss a bite—follow us on Facebook for the latest specials and drinks. We’ll save you a seat at Pearl Street!" Brittany said.
