Native students can get no-cost check ups, health screenings and more this summer. Free school back-to-school physicals, dental screenings, mental health screenings, and backpack giveaways will be available for all families enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska has  announced a series of community-based Back-to-School events at our clinic facilities, preparing kids for a healthy and successful school year.

OMAHA – July 21 - 22

From 3–7 p.m. at the Fred LeRoy Health & Wellness Center at 2602 J Street in Omaha, free school physicals will get your children ready for the academic year. On July 21, in coordination with the clinics, the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Back-to-School Event will include mental health screenings, dental screenings and a free backpack giveaway, while supplies last.

LINCOLN – July 23

The third Back-to-School Event will take place in Lincoln at 1600 Windhoek Drive, from 3–7 p.m., featuring back to school physicals, mental health and dental screenings, along with free backpacks for students, while supplies last.

Scheduled appointments for physicals are recommended. If your school has a specific physical form, please bring it with you.

While the Back-to-School events run during specific times at each location, Ponca Health Services has set aside time throughout the entire day for students to get their physicals.
