Championship Tuesday was upon the Rolling Hills Supply Wayne Post 43 Seniors during the Class B Area 5 Senior American Legion Baseball Tournament.
From O'Neill, #2 Wayne began with an 8-0 victory in six innings over #7 Pierce on July 24 before holding onto a 10-9 win against #3 West Point the following night.
Moving into the winner's bracket July 26 outing, Post 43 suffered an 8-7 loss in nine innings to #1 Central City (National Division host).
The Wayne Seniors then fought off elimination thanks to a 10-1 win in five innings against the host #4 O'Neill on July 27.
On Championship Tuesday, the second-seeded Post 43 Srs dropped a 6-0 outing with top seeded Central City.
Rolling Hills Supply is now 23-7 on the season and will advance to the Class B Senior American Divisional tourney in Springfield (August 1-5).
West Point (as the highest remaining seed in the same tourney with Central City) will join Central City in the National Division Tourney.
