Prom set for this weekend in Wayne

Final details are being handled as Wayne High School prepares to celebrate Prom 2025 on Saturday, March 29.

This year's theme is "At Last We See the Lights"

The Grand March will take place at 6 p.m. in the Wayne High School Gymnasium

The meal will be served at 7 p.m. at The Beaumont Concert and Event Center with the dance to take place from  8-11 p.m., also at The Beaumont.

This year's Queen candidates are:

Norah Armstrong, daughter of Matthew and Shelly Armstrong. Following high school, she plans to attend Belmont University or Wartburg College to study music.

Taytem Ellis, daughter of Jeff and Jill Ellis. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha to study nursing.

Rylin Hall, daughter of Brandon and Kirby Hall. Her plans include attending Wayne State College, majoring in biology on the Pre-Med track.

Amelia Legler, daughter of Christian and Kelly Legler. She plans to attend the University of North Florida majoring in Nutrition & Dietetics.

Olivia Mrsny, daughter of Kayla Jackson and Jason Mrsny. She will be attending South Dakota State University majoring in Early Education.

King candidates include:

Calvin Ankeny, son of Dustin and Val Ankeny. He plans to attend Wayne State College majoring in Business Finance and Administration.

Ceilus Ibarra, son of Guadalupe Ibarra and Aurora Valenzuela. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln double-majoring in flute and vocal performance.

Kaden Keller, son of Heidi Keller and Bryce Meyer and Klinton and Stephanie Keller. He plans to attend Wayne State College, majoring in Business Administration.

Zander Liston, son of Seth and Angie Liston. He will be attending Northeast Community College for Building Construction.

Colson Nelsen, son of Kyle and Melissa Nelsen. He plans to attend Morningside University or Wayne State College to study Business and Finance.
