Providence Medical Center enhances patient experience with new kids play stations

Posted

Providence Medical Center has introduced two new children’s play stations designed to create a more welcoming and comforting environment for young patients and their families.

The idea was first brought forward by Carrie Fertig, RN, Director of Outpatient Specialty Services, along with her outpatient team. After recognizing the number of young children accompanying family or receiving care themselves while waiting for appointments, the team identified an opportunity to improve the experience for families.

The new play stations are now available in the concourse, serving both the designated Walk-In Clinic waiting space and the area where families often wait for ENT services and upcoming Audiology appointments.
