The public is invited to an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Wayne State College Film Program’s new cinema production studio from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the Humanities Building, room 308.

The new studio will feature sound insulation, a greenscreen wall, an equipment room, a lighting truss system, and a dedicated stop motion animation space. Tours of the new studio and the existing film editing suite and cinematic sound production studio will be available.

“With enrollment growing in mass communication, space has become limited,” said Dr. Michael White, associate professor of communication arts at Wayne State. “This new facility will allow set construction and various other expanded production experiences for film majors.”
