Services with military rites for Ralph A. Beiermann, 93, of Wayne, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday, Feb. 3 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne.
Ralph A. Beiermann died Sunday Jan. 26, 2025, at his farm home near Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Beiermann family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Ralph Arnim Beiermann was born May 28, 1931 in Wayne to Armin Christian and Emma Susanna (Korn) Beiermann. He was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on June 28, 1931, at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne by Rev. H. Hopmann and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church on May 19, 1946, by Rev. Walter Brackensick. He attended Wayne County Rural School District #10 until the eighth grade and then graduated from Wayne Campus High School on May 26, 1949. Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean War from May 26, 1952 to February 25, 1954. He was a lifelong farmer and cow - calf herdsman on a farm south of Wayne where he had lived since he was 5 years old. On April 9, 1999 Ralph and Glenda Haglund were married at Grace Lutheran Church. The couple continued to live on the farm south of Wayne until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda; step-sons and families, Douglas Petersen of Astoria, Oregon and Matthew (Chikako) Petersen, Sofia, Haru and Yusei of Toride, Ibaraki, Japan; nephews, Mike (Carolyn) Beiermann of Wayne, Mark (JoAnn) Beiermann of Norfolk, and Todd (Teresa) Beiermann of Missouri; brothers-in-law, Rod (Lorie) Haglund of Wakefield, Les Haglund of Wakefield, Gerald (Kim) Haglund of Wayne and Ed (Toni) Haglund of Wakefield; many loving nieces, nephews and great-nephews and great-nieces; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armin and Emma; brother and sister-in-law, Merlin (Patricia) Beiermann and step-son, David Petersen.
