Randall Lee Larson (Randy) was born on Oct. 20, 1948 to Orville and Iris (Fredrickson) Larson in Wakefield. He passed on Wednesday, Sept.16, 2026 after a short, tough fight with lung cancer.
He attended rural schools, moving into the Wakefield Public School district in sixth grade. He married Diane Nelson and started farming immediately after high school graduation and continued to do so until his retirement in 2019. To this union three children were born: Michael of Lincoln, Brion of Omaha, and Cathi (Larson) Riddle of Ashland.
He was active in local politics, Masons, and Shriners his entire life. In later years, he met his soulmate and love of his life, Linda, who he married and moved with to the Kansas City area.
He has unselfishly donated his body to the Willed Body Program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
There will be no service or planned interment. Donations may be made in his memory to the Nebraska/Masonic – Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont, or the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Lakeview Village Foundation Chaplaincy program.
