Mikey Reyes won his 100th career match and was one of four Wayne High wrestlers to finish the day with a medal as the Blue Devils finished seventh in Saturday’s Mid State Conference meet at Norfolk Catholic High School.

Reyes won his 100th match in the opening round with a first-period pin of Curtis Eickhoff of Battle Creek. He would come back from a semifinal loss to win his final two matches and finish third at 220 pounds.

Gage Schultz reached the finals and came away with a runner-up finish at 126 pounds. Brothers Cameron (120) and Isaiah (160) Muhs finished third and fourth, respectively.

The Blue Devil wrestlers will compete in the B-3 district tournament Feb. 10-11 at Bennington High School. The top four individual wrestlers in each weight class advance to the state tournament in Omaha Feb. 16-18.
