A member of the Wayne State College volleyball team collected the final NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honor during the regular season.
According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, sophomore outside hitter Channatee Robles was named Northern Sun Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
It’s the first time the graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School has been selected NSIC Player of the Week in volleyball.
Robles produced an NSIC-best 5.33 kills and 5.83 points per set in road sweeps at UMary and Minot State. She accounted for 17 kills in Friday’s 3-0 sweep at UMary and recorded her fifth double-double Saturday with 15 kills and 11 digs to go with two service aces in a 3-0 victory at Minot State. For the weekend she had a .406 hitting percentage while also averaging 3.00 digs per set.
This season, Robles ranks 12th in the NSIC in kills per set (2.97) and is 10th in points per set (3.48). She also accounts for 2.53 digs per set and is second on the Wildcat team with 31 service aces.
