Rolling Hills Post 43 Juniors notch 12th win, Seniors game moved to June 30

Following a cancelation on June 20, Rolling Hills Post 43 American Legion baseball played their second home game in the past three nights.

From Hank Overin Field in Wayne, Rolling Hills Post 43 welcomed Albion Post 162 Friday night for a Juniors-Only contest with the Seniors postponed.

Rolling Hills Post 43 (12-2) picked up a 10-3 victory over Albion.

Albion held a 3-1 lead after the first inning while Wayne answered with a four-run second inning and two-run third to lead 7-3. Following a scoreless fourth, Rolling Hills Post 43 added two runs in the fifth and one run in the sixth to win 10-3 and outhit Albion, 9-1.

Carter Wiese singled twice and scored three runs; Brodey Munter singled twice, drove in two runs and scored as Parker Patefield singled twice and scored.

Brayden Rajaee-Hallgren singled and scored twice; Alex Rodriguez singled and scored; Chase Sturm singled; Adrian Contreras accounted for two RBI and a run scored; Jaxson Kneifl added a RBI and run scored as Gavin Anderson tacked on a RBI.

Brodrick Tiedtke (83 pitches) picked up the win in four innings allowing three runs (one earned) off one hit while striking out and walking five batters each. Patefield (20) worked two innings striking out two batters. Contreras (12) pitched the final inning striking out two batters and walking one.

The Ralph Bishop League for the Juniors will open on Saturday, June 29. In the North Division, #1 Rolling Hills Post 43 will await the winner of either #4 South Sioux City or #5 Pierce on Monday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Wayne. South Sioux City will host Pierce on June 29 at 1 p.m.

The other half of the Juniors North Division favored #3 Crofton winning by forfeit over #6 Wakefield. Crofton will face #2 Hartington around 8 p.m. in Wayne on July 1.
