Weather has forced changes in schedules for the Wayne State baseball and softball teams for action scheduled this week.
Wayne State’s baseball doubleheader with Bemidji State has been moved from Wednesday to Friday at 12 p.m. at the Chapman Complex, due to wet field conditions and a lack of available fields in the Omaha metro area.
Wayne State will play the regularly-scheduled series with Minnesota Duluth this weekend, with a 12 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and a 12 p.m. single game on Sunday.
The Wildcat softball team’s scheduled play in the Hy-Vee Classic in St. Joseph, Mo., was cancelled due to weather, so the Wildcats will now play in the Emporia State Classic, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday in Emporia, Kan. Wayne State plays Emporia State at 11:30 a.m. and Washburn at 2 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a 12:30 p.m. game with Northeastern State on Friday and Saturday games against Pittsburg State at 12:30 p.m. and Central Missouri at 3 p.m.
