Wayne State junior Maggie Schulte has been tabbed the Northern Sun Conference South Division Player of the Week for her efforts in helping the Wildcats continue their winning ways.
The Wynot native averaged a double-double in wins over Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State last week, averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds. She had 14 points and 12 rebounds in a 66-52 win at Concordia-St. Paul on Friday, and followed that up with a 24-point, 12-rebound effort in a 70-55 win at Minnesota State.
Schulte was a perfect 17-of-17 at the free throw line last week and helped the Wildcats avenge earlier home losses to both teams, helping to extend the team’s winning streak to seven games.
