The Dixon County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 11 a.m. this morning (Wednesday) of a chemical exposure at Logan View/Michael Foods in Wakefield.
Michael Foods Hazmat team responded to the scene, along with the Wakefield Rescue Unit, Allen Rescue Unit, Dixon County Sheriff's Office and Dixon County Emergency Management.
Four patients were transported to Providence Medical Center in Wayne. Their medical condition is unknown at this time.
This chemical exposure was contained within the facility. No evacuation was necessary outside of the immediate area.
