Shari Lynn Hannah ran to Jesus’ open arms and began her new life in Him at the Providence Medical Center in Wayne on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.
Shari lived the last third of her life from the mobility of a wheelchair and when asked how she was, always replied, “It is well with my soul.”
No services are planned, per Shari’s wishes.

Born Sharon Eileen Lynn on Sept. 27, 1954, to George Wilson Lynn, Sr. and Ethel May Zellner at the Naval Hospital, Bainbridge Naval Training Center, Maryland.
Her life path led through W.J. Woodham High School, Pensacola, Florida; Gainesville, Florida; Loveland, Colorado; and Wisner, Nebraska. Along the way she ran in fund-raising marathons, played the violin, was a talented fitness instructor, and a math teacher at both middle school and college levels. She gained degrees from Santa Fe Community College, Bachelors and Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado, and finally her PhD in 2011 from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Her passions included her Giant Alaskan Malamute fur-babies, her granddaughters and her students as well as finding ways to share her faith in Jesus with everyone she met. In all these endeavors she blessed many people, young and old, with her faith, wit, and love.
Shari was pre-deceased by her parents, George and Ethel Lynn, and her first spouse, Jim Hannah.
Shari is survived by her stepson, Joshua (Colleen) Bye, and daughters Olivia and Madeline, currently of Japan; and her three brothers and families, George Lynn Jr. of Falls Church, Virginia, Andy Lynn of Pensacola, Florida, and Greg Lynn of Fairmont, Georgia. She was and is an inspiration to countless others whose lives she touched.
