Sharon Ann (Hammer) Campbell, 78, of Ames died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 at home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church in Wayne. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Sharon Ann ‘Hammer’ Campbell was born March 10, 1945 in Wayne to Willard and Leona ‘Test’ Hammer. She grew up in Wayne and graduated from Wayne High School in 1963. While living in Wayne, she worked at the Cafe. She moved to Omaha after high school. She married Charles Campbell in Omaha on Nov. 28, 1975. Sharon worked as a pharmaceutical buyer for Clarkson Hospital/UNMC until retiring in 2012. The couple moved to Ames in 2000.
Survivors include daughters Kari Taylor of Ames and Kathy Campbell of Ames; grandchildren James Taylor and Charli Campbell; sisters Nancy (Kevin) Brockmoller of Yankton, South Dakota, Connie (Doug) Spahr of Wayne, Janice (Dan) Johnson of Norfolk and Judy Hammer of Yankton, South Dakota; ; sisters-in-law, Deb Hammer of Wayne, Karen McDonald of Wayne and Janice Poppe of Wayne; many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 2007; parents; sister, Barbara Hammer and three brothers Ronnie, Roger and Kevin.
