Services for Sharon J. Junck, 84, of Wayne will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. There is no visitation.
She died Monday, Aug. 17, 2026 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska in Norfolk.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Sharon Judeen Junck was born May 18, 1942 in Madison to Wilbur and Elverna (Michaels) Settje. She was a Madison High School graduate. Sharon married Jerry Junck June 3, 1977, in Norfolk. The couple lived in Carroll before moving to Wayne and spent winters in Mesa, Arizona. Jerry is a professional square dance caller and traveled throughout the United States and Canada. She was a homemaker and spent winters with him in Arizona.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons, Paul Schaffer of Ozone, Arkansas and Kyle (Tina) Schaffer of Burlington, Washington; daughter-in-law, Peg Schaffer of Wayne; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shari (Bob) Staudenmaier of Norfolk; a brother, Larry (Jan) Settje of Norwich, Connecticut; nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents; one son, Jeff Schaffer and sister, Jeanette (Gene) Reeves.
