Fifth-year senior Skylar Stueckrath recorded a hat trick to lead Wayne State to a 6-0 blowout of Minnesota Crookston in non-conference action Thursday at the WSC Soccer Pitch.

The Wildcats found the back of the net three times in each half, starting the scoring barrage in the 15th minute when Maia Vacks scored on assists from Riann Daas and Annike Syvrud for a 1-0 advantage.

Stueckrath picked up her first goal of the day in the 32nd minute and added a second right before the half to give Wayne State a 3-0 lead at the break.

Vacks scored his second goal of the day two minutes into the second half to make it 4-0. It would stay that way until the 68th minute, when freshman Joee Frogue scored on a Kaelyn Reeves assist. Ten minutes later, Stueckrath finished off the hat trick on a pass from Tyler Donaldson.

The Wildcats outshot Crookston 21-5, including 11-3 in shots on goal. Hayden Wallace got the win in goal with three saves in 65 minutes before Sidney Truman relieved for the final part of the game.

The Wildcats are home again Saturday, hosting William Jewell College of Missouri in a 1 p.m. in a non-conference contest.
