Area subdistrict volleyball pairings were announced by the Nebraska School Activities Association on Thursday as teams get ready to play for a trip to the state tournament.
Wayne is the top seed for the C1-7 subdistrict at Norfolk High School. The four-team subdistrict will be completed in one day, with the Blue Devils facing fourth-seed Wakefield/Allen at 5 p.m. and No. 2 seed O’Neill facing No. 3 Pierce at 6:15 p.m. The winners will play at 7:30 p.m.
Wayne High School will host the C2-7 subdistrict on Monday and Tuesday. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is the No. 3 seed and will face Ponca in a 5:45 p.m. matchup. The final is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Winside will compete in the D2-4 subdistrict at Ponca. They are the No. 2 seed and will face Emerson-Hubbard at 6:15 p.m., with the winner moving on to a 7 p.m. championship game on Tuesday.

Monday’s games — (4) Homer vs. (5) Winnebago, 4:30 p.m.; (2) Ponca vs. (3) LCC, 5:45 p.m.; (1) Hartington CC vs. Homer/Winnebago winner, 7 p.m.
Tuesday’s final — Semifinal winners, 7 p.m.
D2-4 at Ponca High School
Monday’s games — (4) Bloomfield vs. (5) Santee, 5 p.m.; (2) Winside vs. (3) Emerson-Hubbard, 6:15 p.m.; (1) Wynot vs. Bloomfield/Santee winner, 7:30 p.m.
