Wayne State sophomore Robert Sullivan earned All-NSIC honors with a third-place finish in the NSIC Decathlon held Tuesday and Wednesday in Mankato, Minn.
Sullivan scored a total of 6,369 points in the 10-event competition. His best events were first-place finishes in the long jump (23-8 1/2) and the discus at 115-10. He also recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes in the high jump (6-4 3/4) and 110-meter hurdles (15.98). Sullivan posted sixth-place finishes in the 100-meter dash and shot put, ninth in the pole vault and javelin, 10th in the 1,500-meter run and 11th in the 400 meters.
Junior Derek Lahm started the decathlon and was fourth in the 100 meter dash (11.14 seconds), but had to withdraw due to injury.
