Suspect arrested in Dixon County in connection with drive-by shooting

The Dixon County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, arrested 35 year-old Andrew Chase on Sept. 3 on multiple charges.

The Dixon County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 4:30 p.m. that day that a pickup trailer had driven past a female's home and fired a single shot toward her and her child. The female stated that the truck belonged to an Andrew Chase of rural Allen.

Upon further investigation, a bullet hole was discovered in the side of the residence. 

With assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol and the Dakota County Sheriff's Department, Andrew Chase was taken into custody at his residence without incident.

Chase is currently being held at the Dixon County Jail on the following charges — Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony (Class 1C Felony), Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm (Misdemeanor) and Disturbing the Peace (Class 3 Misdemeanor).
