TCNE girls split, Wolfpack boys start 0-2

On back-to-back nights, the Tri County Northeast girls (Class D1) and boys (Class C2) began their season on the court.

The Allen/Emerson-Hubbard co-op girls won at Randolph on Dec. 4 (54-19) followed by a 62-25 loss to Bloomfield the following night. TCNE sits 1-1 on the season.

The Wolfpack boys first lost 56-50 at Randolph and suffered an 82-63 decision to Bloomfield.

In girls action, Briley Anderson posted a weekend-high 14 points and 11 rebounds against Randolph (4 pts vs. Bloomfield).

Other double-figure leaders in the Randolph game were posted by DeLaney Fuscher with 13 points (3 pts/6 rbs vs. Bloomfield) including 6-13 at the foul line for both games and Joslyn Mackling added 12 points (6 pts vs. Bloomfield) to go along with five total steals.

Sam Rastede also averaged 7.5 rebounds in two games as Emily Mitchell dished out six assists.

During boys competition, Wolfpack leaders were Logan Morgan (12/13 pts) and Thatcher Lamp (12/10 pts). Morgan also totaled 11 rebounds on the weekend while Lamp recorded six total steals and dished out five assists.

Landyn Servine also highlighted the weekend with a team-high 10 rebounds against Randolph.

Tucker Anderson (8/9 pts) and Jude Ridenour (8/8 pts) followed in scoring.

Anderson, Jude Ridenour, Morgan and Servine all knocked down a pair of three's on the weekend.

Next up for Tri County Northeast girls and boys basketball will be hosting Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Emerson) on Dec. 12 starting at 4 p.m. for JV action.
