TeamMates Mentoring ignited the passion for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year during the July 9-10 Annual Conference hosted at Nebraska Innovation Campus.

The two-day IGNITE conference was attended by 250 program coordinators, board members, and building coordinators from the 187 TeamMates chapters across six states. Attendees learned about the updated Elements of Effective Practice and collaborated in multiple breakout sessions.

The event featured keynote speakers Kara Lawson, Duke University Head Women’s Basketball Coach, and Corey Martin Craig, former TeamMates mentee turned actor and comedy coach.

“It was once again a successful TeamMates Annual Conference getting our chapters excited and ready to serve their students,” said TeamMates Chief Executive Officer DeMoine Adams. “Mentoring matters because students matter. The opportunity we have to positively impact young people through mentoring drives this organization. We are energized and we are ready for another great school year.”

Nine chapters were also honored during the conference as the 2024-2025 Regional Chapter of the Year.

They include: Beatrice - Southeast Regional Winner; Boyer Valley - Iowa Regional Winner; Chase County - Western/Wyoming Regional Winner; Columbus - Northeast Regional Winner; Elkhorn - Eastern/Metro Regional Winner; Grand Island - North Central Regional Winner; Louisburg - Kansas Regional Winner; Sandy Creek - Southern Regional Winner and Sioux Falls - South Dakota Regional Winner.
