On Sept. 6 of this year, "TeamMates Day with the Huskers," was held celebrating the 2025 Scholarship recipients and post-secondary graduates.
A banquet was held on the terrace of Memorial Stadium.
"To inspire students to reach their full potential through mentoring and support them to use their full potential toward some form of post-secondary education - now that's a Touchdown AND an Extra Point"!! was a DeMoine Adams quote from the TeamMates banquet before the Husker game.
Other speakers included Tom Osborne, Founder of the TeamMates Program; DeMoine Adams, TeamMates CEO; and former Husker and Athletic Director, Troy Dannen. They spoke to the mentors and mentees with encouraging and motivating speeches. Scholarship recipients were individually recognized during the banquet.
Those recipients attending the Teammates Scholarship Celebration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln also had the opportunity to attend the Nebraska football game in the evening, where all scholarship recipients were invited on to the football field during halftime of the game, to be congratulated and recognized by thousands of Husker fans.
