Thelma A. Moeller, 75, of Wayne, formerly of Pender, died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the home of her sister in Pender.

A Christian service  will be held Wednesday, July 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. The Rev. Jim Splitt and PMA Deb Hammer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pender. Public visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Those attending are required to wear masks.

Memorials may be directed to Thelma’s family for later designation.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Thelma Alelia Moeller was born Feb. 1, 1945 at Sidney to Rev. Victor and Ida (Reuter) Moeller.  She graduated from Pender High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Midland University. After college she lived in Pender and later moved to Wayne.  She lived there through her retirement until the present time. Thelma was employed with the Nebraska Health and Human Services Office for 40 years, first as a case worker and later becoming  the director. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and WELCA in Wayne. Thelma was a piano and organ accompanist for area nursing home services.

Survivors include her brother, Norman (Joan) Moeller of Pender and sister, Pauline Westerhold of Pender; 12 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul (Shirley) Moeller; sister, Berniece (Walt) Whipple; brother-in-law, Marvin Westerhold; and a great-niece, Lillian Davis.

Pallbearers will be Keith Moeller, Kent Moeller, Dave Westerhold, Dan Westerhold, Steve Whipple, Dennis Stamm, Jeff Erwin and Patrick Bryan.
