Three winners for Wayne State at Sioux City Relays

Wayne State athletes came away with three first-place finishes during the 52nd annual Sioux City Relays, held Friday and Saturday at Morningside College's Olsen Stadium.
Braxton Adams and Brady Metz came away with winning efforts for the Wayne State men. Adams won the 100-meter dash in 10.86 seconds, while Metz took top honors in the triple jump with a best effort of 45 feet, 1 inch.
The other win was recorded by Andrea DeSimone, who claimed top honors in the women's 10,000-meter run with a time of 40:22.28.
Bryan Dunn took runner-up honors in the hammer throw (178-5), Justin Brueggemann was third in the 10,000-meter run (33:39.02) and the 400-meter relay team of Adams, Brandon Marker, Clay Kramper and Jordan Zautke finished third in a time of 42.36 seconds.
On the women's side, Molly Kingsley was third in the 10,000 (41:35.09), Ellen Wulf placed third in the long jump (17-4 1/4) and Shelby Connett was third in the 5,000-meter run in 20:09.39.
Wayne State will compete in the South Dakota Twilight Meet Tuesday in Vermillion, S.D., and will be in the Doane College Relays on Friday and Saturday in Crete.
