Four Wayne Herald area high school volleyball teams along with Wayne High softball were in action on Oct. 2.
From the Wayne Softball Complex, the Blue Devils suffered a 3-1 loss against GACC.

From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School Gymnasium, the Blue Devils won a five set thriller over Stanton (25-23, 25-15, 21-25, 17-25, 15-13).
Wayne High (15-8) will next travel to Albion on Tuesday, Oct. 7 for the Boone Central triangular with Pierce starting at 5 p.m.
From Allen, the Tri County Northeast volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss against Pender (19-25, 16-25, 20-25).
The Wolfpack (12-3) will next travel to Bancroft for a triangular against Bancroft-Rosalie and Walthill on Tuesday, Oct. 7 starting at 5:30 p.m.
From Winnebago, the Winside volleyball team won in straight sets at the host Indians (25-21, 25-15, 25-23).
The Wildcats (8-8) will next host Niobrara/Verdigre on Tuesday, Oct. 7 starting at 6 p.m.
From Bancroft, the Wakefield volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Bancroft-Rosalie (23-25, 15-25, 21-25)
The Trojans (1-19) will next host Ponca on Tuesday, Oct. 7 starting at 5 p.m.
