He passed suddenly on Monday, October 5th at his home in Wayne in the presence of his family.
Timothy Lowell Peters was born September 9, 1976, in Fremont, to Lowell and Patty (Wollberg) Peters. He graduated from North Bend High School in 1995 and earned his Associates of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Mechanics from Northeast Community College in Norfolk. After college, Tim worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Johnson Farm Equipment in North Bend and K & R Equipment in West Point before joining the team at Titan Machinery in Wayne. On December 17, 2011, Tim married Trisha Hansen at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne, where they currently reside.
Tim was a loving father, devoted husband, caring brother, eldest son, dedicated mechanic, and loyal friend to many. The Lord blessed all those who knew him with far too few harvest and planting seasons together. Tim was generous, patient, careful, practical, hardworking, smart, and funny. He loved his family, the farm, simple things, dad jokes, a cold beer at the end of a long day, and time well spent with family and friends as the resident grill master. He was described by many as "One of my favorite people."
Tim was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John's Ridgeley Church, rural Scribner. Located just one-half mile from the family farm, his wishes were to be taken home to his final resting place. He volunteered his talents for many Sunday morning duties at Our Savior Lutheran Church during his time in Wayne.
Tim is survived by his wife, Trisha; their sons, Logan and Luke; parents, Lowell and Patty Peters and brother, Nick Peters all of Scribner; parents-in-law, Tim and Mary Hansen of Wayne; brothers-in-law and families, Tom Hansen (Nash, Sophie, and Evan) of Wayne and Dale and Brooke Hansen (Esdon, Chase, Aiker, and Fayth) of Wisner; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many loyal customers.
Preceding Tim in death were his grandparents, Aaron and Darlene Peters and Vernon and Laurene Wollberg, along with an infant sister, Jennifer.
Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wayne, St. John’s Ridgeley Cemetery Association, Scribner or to the Peters family for later designation.
