Area residents took time last weekend to remember and honor those who have served in this country's military. Many of the programs were moved indoors due to less than ideal weather conditions, but many of the traditions went on as planned. Above, members of the Wayne veterans' organizations conducted the 21-gun salute outside Wayne High School at the conclusion of the program. At right, Veterans Park at Greenwood Cemetery was adorned with hundreds of flags through out the weekend, marking the graves of those who have served in the military throughout the history of the nation.
