A Transfer of Wealth study from Nebraska Community Foundation reveals a significant opportunity for Wayne County residents to create a lasting impact on future generations.
According to the study, an estimated $590 million is expected to transfer between generations in Wayne County over the next 10 years. Just 5% of those assets equals $30 million that could be invested in the future of the Wayne area.
The Wayne Area Legacy Fund is encouraging residents to consider including charitable gifts in their estate plans through Nebraska Community Foundation's "5 to Thrive" initiative. The campaign promotes the idea of leaving 5% of one's estate to support local communities and ensure future generations continue to enjoy a vibrant place to live, work and play.
