With cross country and golf taking over their respective courses, the Tri County Northeast volleyball and Wayne softball teams were on the court and diamond to open the week.
From Emerson, the host Wolfpack picked up a 3-0 sweep over Omaha Nation (25-14, 25-12, 25-23). Tri County Northeast has now won five straight to improve to 7-1.

The Wolfpack will open five straight on the road beginning Thursday at Creighton starting at 5:30 p.m.
Also, Wayne High softball continued their busy road stretch with a 15-0 win at North Bend Monday night. The Blue Devils are now 10-7 on the season.
Alivia Kesting doubled and scored twice; Courtney Roeber singled twice, drove in two runs and scored three times as Avree Abler singled twice, drove in two runs and scored twice.
Kinnley McGuire and Sidney Nelson both singled, drove in two runs and scored twice; Reagan McManigal singled and drove in a run; Reagan McGuire singled and scored; Mackenzie Nissen singled; Lilly Johnson scored twice as Jordyn Gamble scored.
Nissen (39 pitches) picked up the win in two innings allowing one hit while striking out two batters. Gamble (28) worked an inning in relief allowing one hit while striking out and walking one batter each.
Next up will be their home triangular tonight starting at 4:30 p.m. with Boone Central and Pierce.
