Wolfpack cross country runners began their season at the Logan View Invite on Aug. 27.
From Uehling City Park, the Tri County Northeast girls had three runners in action (no team score) while the TCNE boys took 13th (234 pts).
In the girls division for the Wolfpack, Karlee Duncan was the top performer in 52nd (26:21.9).
During boys action, Jude Ridenour earned a 12th place medal in a time of 18:31.7.
Home volleyball took over Emerson for Tri County Northeast.
During the Aug. 27 opener, the host Wolfpack won in straight sets over Winnebago (25-15, 25-17, 25-10) to start their season at 1-0.
Top performances (provided by coach Carly Dickens) were Joslyn Mackling with a team-high 12 kills and eight digs along with Emily Mitchell tacking on eight digs.
It was a high-scoring home opener for Tri County Northeast football which ended in victory.
From Allen, TCNE secured a 54-8 win over Madison to begin their season at 1-0.
It was all about the ground game as the Wolfpack ran for 330 yards being led by a four-touchdown performance from Blake Kneifl on 18 carries for 172 yards. He also completed two-of-three passes for 70 yards with one interception.
