After having both the Crofton invite (Sept. 24) and Stanton invite (Oct. 1) being canceled, the Tri County Northeast cross country program made a schedule change to keep up with the competition.
From the Creighton Invite 'road race' on Oct. 1, the TCNE girls finished fourth with 47 points while the Wolfpack boys placed fifth (50 pts).
In the girls division, Karlee Duncan earned a 10th place medal in a time of 22:47.
During boys action, Jude Ridenour crossed the finish line in fourth during a time of 17:36.
Wolfpack volleyball was in search to snap a pair of four-set road losses with a road triangular match in early October.
Beginning in Pender on Oct. 1, Tri County Northeast lost 3-1 at Pender (22-25, 22-25, 28-26, 21-25) before splitting a pair of matches during the Walthill triangular. The Wolfpack lost 2-1 against Bancroft-Rosalie (8-25, 25-20, 29-31) before sweeping the host Blujays (25-11, 25-9) on Oct. 6.
TCNE is now 10-7 on the season.
At Pender, Wolfpack double-doubles were posted by Joslyn Mackling (13 kills/21 digs) and Ally Belt (32 assists/13 digs).
Week six of the high school football season for Tri County Northeast showcased a third road match-up.
From Laurel on Oct. 2, the Wolfpack dropped a 70-22 decision against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.
TCNE had a two-game winning streak snapped falling to 3-3.
Blake Kneifl completed 5-of-9 for 79 yards and one score. Kneifl also led the ground attack on 18 carries for 39 yards and two touchdowns.
